FORMAT GTA RP CHATLOGS
GTA roleplay generates dense, hard-to-read chat logs. This guide covers the common line formats and how to turn a raw log into a clean, color-coded screenshot for faction reports, forum posts, or character stories — free, in your browser, nothing uploaded.

Name says:— spoken dialogue (normal chat)./me— an action your character performs, rendered in purple./do— environment description or an out-of-character scene fact.(( OOC ))//b— out-of-character chat, shown greyed.- Whisper, shout, low, radio, and phone lines each get their own styling.
WHY IT WORKS ACROSS SERVERS
- GTAW, FiveM, RAGE MP, RedM, and alt:V share the same
Name says:chat structure. - The parser reads that generic format, so a log from any of them formats correctly.
- GTAW faction colors layer on top for servers that use them.
STEP BY STEP
- 1. Copy the chat lines from your client.
- 2. Paste them into Chatlog Magician; it colors names, actions, and OOC automatically.
- 3. Set font size and background, recolor character names, and censor anything private.
- 4. Export a transparent-trimmed PNG, ready to post.
FAQ
Which servers does it work with?
Any GTA RP server using the shared Name says: format — GTAW, FiveM, RAGE MP,
RedM, and alt:V. GTAW faction coloring layers on top.
What do /me and /do mean?
/me is an action your character performs (purple); /do describes
the environment or an OOC scene fact. Plain says: lines are dialogue.
Is it free and private?
Yes — it runs entirely in your browser, the log is never uploaded, and there is no account or paywall to format and export.
